Bio-Zyme Enzyme Automotive Interior Cleaner

Bio-Zyme Enzyme Automotive Interior Cleaner

From blind spot monitoring and parking assist systems to telescoping steering wheels and adjustable pedals, there’s no lack of innovation in today’s automobiles. Still, one of the disadvantages of owning an automobile is not having a clue as to when a passenger, pet or even yourself might inadvertently foul the interior of your ride. We’re talking about coffee spills, erupting soda cans, hamburger sauce leaks and worse yet, the surprise release of bodily fluids onto your customers seats or floors.

Urine, feces, blood, and vomit are among the distasteful results of an “accident” in a client’s automobile, and as you know, if these liquid bombshells are not removed immediately, they can leave permanent stains. Worse yet, they can create foul odors and even mold — adding insult to this interior injustice.

When such a disruption occurs in an automobile, most of your customers will immediately reach for a simple carpet shampoo product. This may clean up the area temporarily, but what these well-intentioned folks don’t realize is carpet shampoos often fail to rid the interior of harmful bacteria, which prompts an odor to unpack its luggage and stick around.

Here at Detail King, we sell Bio-Zyme Enzyme Automotive Interior Cleaner — a synergistic blend of bacterial enzymes that breaks down organic stains, grease and oils, thus eliminating odors naturally. This highly concentrated solution contains between 150 and 200 billion  Continue reading…

EX Con Concrete, Rust, Tree Sap & Scale Remover

EX Con Concrete, Rust, Tree Sap & Scale Remover

Four things you never want to see on the shiny exterior of a car or boat are concrete — especially hardened concrete — as well as rust, tree sap and white scales from the minerals left behind by water. These substances are not an automobile’s best friends. That’s why it’s imperative to use the proper chemicals to safely keep these foreign objects from ruining your paying customer’s paint job.

Adding to the frustration of working with substances that bind to the surface of a vehicle is the fact that they’re difficult to remove without scratching, staining or marring the finish of the automobile. Specifically, here’s more information on the challenges facing the professional auto detailer:

Concrete — Not only is this rock and sand combination difficult to remove, but concrete features an element called alkaline that can be very harmful to the vehicle’s paint by eating the clear coat and paint away.

Rust — Water left on a car not only encourages rust, but once rust occurs, additional water only adds to the problem, creating rivers of rusty stains on the paint job, which requires additional time to remove.

Tree Sap — Here’s another substance that becomes more difficult to remove the longer it remains on the surface. And if it’s left cooking in the sun, it can leave a stain, resulting in discoloration to the paint job.

Scales —Boats are exposed and vulnerable to elements  in the water that can leave behind mineral deposits called lime scale. Chemically, these deposits are  Continue reading…

Every professional auto detailer has a secret mantra, and that chant is this: Time is money. Nowhere is that incantation more appropriate than when you’re busily toiling away on a dirty vehicle and your rhythm and pace come to a screeching halt due to a smattering of tree sap, a compilation of bird crap, a fender lined in tar splatter or a heavy dose of brake dust build-up on a wheel.

This is a time when the collection of chemical compositions you have immediately at hand can help keep you on track, on deadline and in the groove, so you can finish the job and get on to the next car in line.

Labor is an auto detailer’s biggest expense, and having the right equipment on site and within grabbing distance keeps that expense down. The bottom line is the bottom line, and access to the strongest exterior soaps, cleaners and degreasers means bigger profits and less expended elbow grease at the end of the day so you can do the same thing again tomorrow.

And by strong, we don’t mean bad for the environment. Here at Detail King, all of our soaps, cleaners and degreasers are volatile organic compound (VOC) compliant, which means they meet local, state and federal regulations for substances that contain mineral spirits. In addition, all of our chemicals are 100 percent biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

So while they’re safe for the planet, they’re absolute hell on those hard-to-remove greases and grime that seem to become attached to most every vehicle. In fact, our soaps, cleaners and degreasers act as if they’re on steroids — without the Congressional hearings, thank you. And most of them smell good, a factor that makes your job more pleasant and is certainly welcomed by your customers.

What follows is an introduction of some of these products, with maybe our hardest-working cleaners heading the list because, after all, these are the weapons in your arsenal that are going to enable you to maintain a timely pace in your work day: Continue reading…

One of the saddest sights a professional auto detailer can witness is the results of hapless car owners in their failed attempt to clean food spills, pet stains or vomit from the interior of their treasured mode of transportation. They spray, they rub, they scrub, and all they accomplish is to force the fluids — and accompanying odors — deeper into the upholstery and carpet.

Like a visiting distant relative, you just can’t get rid of it!

That’s because merely mopping up the odor source does little to make the odor go away. By the time the customer has done his or her best to clean up, the bacteria causing the odor has reproduced and has worked its way into all of the porous interior components. These include the headliner, seating surfaces, dashboard and even the ductwork.

And you can’t really blame these folks for trying. It’s just that they don’t know any better. They aren’t the professionals. Just like you don’t know how to sell insurance, run a restaurant, or whatever else it is that your customers do for a living. The point is, as a professionally trained auto detailer, you should always be the go-to guy (or gal) when it comes to odors in an automobile.

But if your mobile or fixed-location detailing business has an ozone machine or two, you’re in like Flynn when it comes to providing a solution to this odorous malady. Ozone has been found to be the second most effective way to permanently eliminate odors caused by mold, mildew, smoke, body odor and pet odors. (Chlorine is the No. 1 solution, but we’ll get to that later on in this post.)

Ozone absolutely resolves nasal nuisances brought about by spills, including milk, vomit, urine, feces, body odor and other foul substances containing bacteria molecules that causes odor in the first place. We here at Detail King have been touting the benefits of ozone machines to our auto detailing professionals for well over a decade. And while these machines work wonders, the source of foul odors must be dealt with first. This involves  Continue reading…
